Teapot Lady

My teapot lady
A teapot which I covered with polymer clay , I sculpted her face .... added hand painted details
encrusted all over with jewelry , seashells , buttons rhinestones
and I antiqued her , I love the way antiquing brings out more details
These teapots are gallery art ..... from my "Teapots and Ladies " collection .
she is in my shop

That is SO Freaking COOL!
I had some thoughts in my head about making a birdbath out of bits and pieces that I've collected, and now this inspires me even more. Not that it would ever come anywhere near as awesome as this...you are amazing!

thanks Cindi
I always wanted to do a birdbath too but I never took the time to figure out how to make it weather proof !

Sandy, I painted a rock for a friend that looks like her dog's head. Her dog always had her mouth open like she was laughing. So....as a Memorial kind of thing, I painted the rock. I used Helmsman indoor/outdoor spar urethane on it as a sealer coat. The guy at the hardware store said it is what they use on boats. So I guess the rock is still holding up, so I thought I'd try that and see what happens...now that I think about again, maybe I'll try something "small" as a test run first! LOL!
And also of course, bring it in during the winter months.

so, you covered it with poly, smushed it around all over, and then pressed the buttons and treasures all around on it? did you need to cure it? what a cool idea!

This is just great! My teapots just have roses on them.
I have to paint a dummy board today and came to your site for inspiration, there is a lot of it here!
