I think I am finally [ almost ] finished with things for the Miami show .
I can't believe how many things I produced ..... under pressure ....the last few days I made some strange things .
Do you remember the Beatle's song 'She's Leaving Home ' ? I drew these two ladies ....
and thought wow .... they look like land masses , little continents ....... anyway when I looked at them this song came to mind , so I added the words .
This one and the clowns are painted on old atlas pages from a very old book .
The close up face is sort of Katherine Hepburn . A book about her was laying near to me so I just drew it .
I might try to do a few more things tonight but it's already 1 a.m.
I don't know ........I'm sort of burnt out
and relieved ... next is sad [ sending these out ] then there is faith [ hoping they will sell]
this is all an emotional roller coaster
I wonder if you know what I mean .

Sandy I love all the work you've been doing... sorry I've been away from the blog so long. I had family running around my house for the last nine days and things have been crazy busy. I think all the paintings you've created for the Miami show are WONDERFUL!!! My wish for you is that it all sells... I'll have my fingers crossed. Also think happy thoughts my friend...every thing will go well. :)

Big Bear Hugs,

Theresa

I always seem to work best under pressure. I have two quilts to get made for Grand children for Christmas and have not started them yet. I tell myself every day and well...maybe tomorrow.
The new art is fun!

YES! Know what you mean.
I don't know how many times I've made things under a deadline only to say Bye to them and POOF...nothing. Mine were either gifts or college assignments. A bit of a letdown. Good thing you have pictures.

At least I got most of the assignments back (no grades, just a critique and credit) - when I remembered to take them home!

I think it would really be something to see all your pieces together at the show!

Oh, I am loving all the new stuff in your shop, the stripped socks are GREAT!

Rest and relaxation are the order of the day, don't you think?

I love the new atlas paintings. They are so much fun! We have just put a large map up in Imogen's room and have put a pin in all the places that I have sold paintings. It is cool!
That Beatles' song is so sad. I love it, but it makes me think about leaving my mum and what I'll do when my babies leave me. WAAAAAAAAH!
