There's something about drawing on an old book page . The paper feels good . It takes pen and ink well .
and then there is the magic of the words ...
This is written at the top of page 322 :
"...completely to touch her at all . In the end nothing properly matched , except a certain sense of aloneness , which was only an ironic consequence .
She was left as she had been left then , without Phillip or the queenly Astrid of the Belgians either ,
occupying her own circle of space , in a reverberating echo pool of silence . "
It doesn't seem to matter much that I don't know the whole story of this book .... I just love certain phrases .
anyway > A print of this is in my Etsy shop
Oh and P.S. ..... yes I used Derwent Inktense pencil ...... the color is called ..... ' willow ' Oh I love that Inktense

Oh those illusive Inktense pens! None of the art supply stores here carry them. When I see your lovely work I covet them. Must remember to search for them online. :-) You are SUCH an inspiration to me!
Love this page. Such a great idea. I remember the one you did in November with the lady and the strawberry. You are such a talent. Sigh.
