I love Derwent Inktense pencils .... so much !

I drew the original on Canson paper 

with Willow Inktense 

and black and Baked Earth

made a print 

The print looks just as good as the original 

because Inktense is intense 

This is called " Unfinished "

the drawing is unfinished and maybe she is too 

art for the nursery

This is something I painted on an old wood kitchen cabinet door .

It works out well because there's an instant frame ,

These are three stuffed animal friends that I painted with acrylics .

and I painted the frame and all sides in stripes and dots .

It's very colorful !

Happy Thursday !

I guess I should explain about the art that I am now listing in my Etsy shop . I have decided to part with things in my personal collection . Years ago I sold my work through gift shops and catalogs and art shows in the U.S.

I had to keep a consistency then . I would come up with a design and I would make dozens of the same item , [ I have sculpted HUNDREDS of things ] ... but I always kept for myself the very best ones , so I would be able to remember and have a reference if I had to make more ...
I don't know if I will ever go back to making these folk art pumpkins and Santas
I have moved on from them ... I really want to paint now and make new things , so
my plan is > to keep listing these type of things to the end of this year and then move on and fill my shop again with paintings and maybe art dolls ... I don't know . not sure ...but I have to clear my house and my head .
I just know that I can't go back
I am even putting lots of clocks on etsy . Ones that I don't think I will make anymore . MAYBE I will still make Crabby cats . Crabby cat has a place in my heart forever .
so I hope you will take a look ....

and cut it out with my saw .
It's a dummy board that can stand .
there is a little piece of board on the back so it stands .
17 inches tall

Dog Painting with a vintage look

I finished this painting today .
It is a painting of an old chalk ware dog that I bought at Stratford Antique Center .
It's a chalkware bank that I guess they gave as a carnival prize .
I love the dog
so I painted him

it's a very vintage look in a very old frame

It measures a little over 10 x 13 inches

It's so hot .....I put a bag of frozen corn down my shirt .

It helped .

and I thought about fall and winter and cool brisk air .

I know it's a little early but when I had the bag of corn from the freezer in my shirt ...I felt much more cherry and happy .

We don't have air conditioning ,,,,, ugh ,,,,,,
be very grateful if you have it because these last few days have been miserable hot [ for me anyway ]
funny > it doesn't seem to bother my husband as much . He refused the frozen bag of string beans that I offered him .
My cats look awful . I feel bad for them .
Oh >>>>>> I am looking forward to the fall !

Oh .... it's a hot night , but I am thinking of the fall when the air is crisp and cool and that's when I am happy !
Here is a Halloween gourd guy that I made .

His head and arms and legs are made from polymer clay and they move .... I used wire . and old buttons .
