Painted Dollhouse , Hydrangea Cottage

This is a dollhouse that I painted .

It's called ' Hydrangea Cottage '

All the dolls are at the cottage .

This is Rosie .... peeking out at you .

I painted the sides with trees and ivy

in the living room

 I painted a rug for each room

inside > painted rugs , a little table that I made and a little painting on the wall
This old lady { ME } had so much fun painting the dollhouse and then taking photos .... playing
we all need to play sometimes !

Puzzle art for Etsy

I've decided to part with my Puzzle art lady.     she is in my Etsy shop
She WAS in Miami at the Basel art show , and I WAS going to keep her .... but I decided to try to sell her
so this is all about this piece >  I made a puzzle , which took forever because the pieces were so small , and then instead of finishing the puzzle ... I decided to paint on it , after I painted her I attached her to wood and then I went around all those intricate edges on my scroll saw , sanding and painting all the edges black .
Sometimes I'm even amazed at my patience .
I made this piece a few years ago , so now I look at it and appreciate her in a different way !
She can hang on the wall and cast cool shadows { I raised it up a little in the back }

Nun Painting for Etsy [ sold ]

Mother Gavrilia was the inspiration
I bought a book at a library book sale ..... and her photo was on the cover
I read the book and then I decided to paint her
I'm not catholic ..... I am a born again Christian , but I did enjoy this book
anyone who loves the Lord will enjoy this book . We can all learn a lot from Mother Theresa or Mother Gavrilia

I found this very cool shelf in an antique shop
It was a dark mahogany , so I painted it in a shabby chic style and then antique rubbed it so all the details would pop
Painted the mermaid and fish and moon

I drew the star out on MDF board , cut it out on my saw ....... and then painted with acrylics, ink and of course INKTENSE

It's really hot here , and I'm crabby so I made a COOL cat ..... and it made me happy - er
