Today is/was Monday

Today I added a scarf to the Polka dot rabbit . and yesterday I made ANOTHER bigger cat doll [ can't part with the first one ]
and then today I made a rabbit doll .
The cat and rabbit doll each have a spring flower . I painted the daisy and the tulip on .
and then ..... I remembered this little square pillow that I made many years ago . [ early 90's ] . It wasn't under the bed , it was in some drawer .
I like it because I made the little green wool pillow and I embroidered the little flowers on . I painted the running rabbit on muslin and attached it to the pillow with ..... uhm ....
is that called the buttonhole stitch ?
I forget . and I sure don't remember how to do that stitch now . I'll have to drag out the old directions and practice again .

ok .... I think I'm having fun

I guess I'm making dolls now . I used to make dolls YEARS ago . Way back in 1974 I scared all my bridesmaids with little bridesmaid's dolls . and now here it is 30 + years later and I'm making dolls again .
I THOUGHT I was going to be painting for galleries . That went well for a while but now the galleries are quiet............ so .......Thank you Lord for Etsy . and Thank you Lord for your guidance.
He is with me .... always encouraging . He is my art rep . [ for sure ]
This is how I make them > I draw out the cat on fabric , sew it up , stuff VERY tightly , paint a few coats of gesso , paint with acrylics, then a coat or two of no gloss polyurethane .
I'm having fun ..... I have no idea what price to put on these four dolls that I've made in the last week or so . I forgot how much work it is to make a doll .
so to all you doll makers > now I remember , now I know

This is the Day that the Lord has made ... clocks

Rabbit and girl drawing and rabbit doll

Today I stayed in my studio for ten hours .
NOTHING was going right .... every drawing was so bad ..... I was getting so sad .
but I don't give up . I don't even know if that's good .
so here is an illustration for today . and Below is the rabbit doll . Ronnie [ biddybrain ] had many funny suggestions of what to put in her purse.
Everything from a mini cat pillow to a Cadbury egg. ha ha
but there is just a little heart charm in the purse right now . I think she shoplifts . [ like P.J. 's giraffe [ Imogene ]
I can never accept when I have a day like today .
I can't believe it when I can't draw , when nothing works !
ok , it's only midnight . I'm going back to work
I took a nap before . I'll be up til 4 .
happy ...... Thursday !

I made a dancing doll

I drew this out on fabric . and then I sewed it up .
I covered it with paint so it's not a 'soft ' doll.
She has a button with a loop on the back so she can hang on the wall
