It's so hard to believe how quickly the week goes by . And now .... maybe some snow this weekend !!!!
I don't think we'll get much , probably more rain than snow .
anyway > I painted this cat girl on Bainbridge illustration board with ink and my much loved DERWENT Inktense pencils
then I made a print , mounted the print on board and cut out on my scroll saw
Where do you buy your brushes ? I used to have a great place [ a catalog ] to buy brushes , their prices were SO good , but ...... they went out of business
oh well
My cat girl wood cut out is in my etsy shop.... [ update > this one just sold , but I'll be making more soon ! ]
have a great weekend

I always marvel at how neatly you can glue these without a bubble or wrinkle....wish I could be that good!! she is adorable, and If i had money, I would adopt her and put her with my other cutouts that you have made!!
Happy Halloween Sandy!
Ah, I was wondering how you used the Inktense pencils on wood. I tried on wood and no go. Just wipes off. Now I see it is a *print*. Adorable as always.

I buy my brushes at Hobby Lobby when they have them marked at 50% off which is about once a month. Then I bring them home and put them in my room with my canvases that I never paint on. Maybe I'll gather it all up along with my paints and fabric and take it all to the basement and set them next to my stack of boards and my scroll saw. Then I can blog about what I might create while YOU are actually DOING IT!
EVERYTHING you make is Fabulous!!!
(I adore that Ernie, reminds me off my cat Horton, stuffed to the max! LOL!)anyway...
love this little wood cut-out cat!
XOXO - Cindi
maybe I should go buy some Inktense pencils, they obviously are super cool. I could add them to my collection!
:D :D :D :D
Maybe I'm partial to the wood cut out girl...for other reasons. She's wonderful. I think it's your style that makes everything so endearing no matter what the surface is. You are consistently wonderful. A nice trait to have!
Soooo adorable. Wish I could buy her right now!
I know this might sound cheesy, but I buy a lot of my brushes at Michaels. I have purchased them online at Dick Blicks, but I love to touch the brushes before I buy them. You are rockin' that scroll saw by the way. I've always wanted to try something like that, but I'm a'skeered. Maybe some day I'll take a course.
Oh wow' love you you do :-)))
Sandy, you could check out OPUS online for brushes. They have a great selection. If you are looking for cheap ones, Michaels carries some. Love you work! They make me smile and bring out the child in me. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
