Now that is interesting! I have to tell you that in the 1970's I used to sew the nylon soft sculpture dolls. My dad was in the hospital and I had no idea what to give him as a get well gift so I made a soft sculptured doll head with big yellow braids hoping just to make him laugh! Well he thought it was the strangest thing ever! It got lots of comments though! I have to say your doll's head sure looks a lot better than mine did!
