new pillow
oh ..... this one is going to be hard to part with .
I painted the girl on an old linen napkin , sewed it to a piece of muslin and made the pillow .
I added bits of my mother's old crochet doilies . I tea stained the crocheted pieces . I hand stitched this and old wood buttons and even pieces of cheesecloth .
The pillow measures 12 x 13 inches
I don't know why some things I just want to keep .... maybe because I think my mom would have liked this pillow . Sometimes I just think of her and get a feeling that she approves .
I will put this in my Etsy shop ..... maybe tonight . Michael Husband just came home > gotta shift to thinking WHAT'S FOR DINNER ! ugh

Sandy she is the loveliest girl.... the lace is divine too. :) I think you need to keep this one.
Hugs,
Theresa
Hi Sandy. I am enjoying catching up with everyones' blogs tonight. You have posted lots of lovelies as usual. I absolutely adore the picture of the woman in the flowers on the poetry book. What a wonderful, striking image. They are both excellent but that first one is amazing. You are so talented.
Love the new pillow too. I agree some things are hard to part with. Don't sell it and then regret its loss though.
Thank you Theresa and Cathy .
I don't know why I have this emotional attachment to this ...
but I can't keep everything .
and this would just end up ...
'under the bed '
I have no more room in my house !
It really is beautiful. Hey, just get a bigger house. Hee, Hee.
congratulations on your covers! very nice work!
What a precious doll she is and all the more special using bits of your mother's treasures! I can fully understand why you might not be ready to part with her!!! Your house sounds like our house. Just have to say I get to enjoy your bird nest girl 'how i worked my way around the world' every day, no one enters the house without seeing her and falling in Love with her too, thank you for parting with her :) oxo
Oh Sandy, I do hope you know that I love her dearly and have given her a place of honour on my favourite chaise lounge. It was the only piece of furniture I just HAD to have when we moved into our new home. Each morning she greets me and each night before I go to bed she bids me a sound sleep. After reading your post, I feel very honoured to live with her. Hugs...
