okay .... you know I drew this at 3 a.m. the magic hour this is a new cat magnet for my etsy shop It's one of the bigger ones a little over 4 x 5 inches
we had a really big storm here last night rain thunder HAIL the hail was huge . it was amazing .
Cut it out! You are forcing me to apply restraint and it is so h a r d.
This is a demure little sweetie. I thought Awwwww when I saw her. I want to invite her to come visit and have tea and cake with me and try to draw her out.
I don't know, that storm sounds like it may be the result of a collision between a heat wave and a snowstorm. Ahem! I seem to recall a very snowed under dog posted here yesterday!
hi sandy! i love your new cat magnet! i cannot wait to give your beautiful magnets to my friend next week for her birthday. she will adore them! xo melissa
This cat is so cute. Her little face is just sooo pretty.
Guess what? Maybe it is your art or the fact that we can't get rid of our mice ... or both but, we got a cat the other day! He is apricot coloured, 4 months old, as sweet and gentle as they come and his name is Beijing. My two girl are over the moon. The dog ... not so much. It is wonderful having a cat again. He is an awesome addition to our family.
What a cute cat Sandy. Love the green eyes. We have had rain nearly all day over here in the UK. Some summer we are having...lol. I love a good thunder storm, especially at night.
I love the way you paint cats. And I am not a cat fan. Nothing against cats; I used to think I was a cat person. But in the end, it turned out I wasn't.
That wasn't my point.
My point was, you make cats absolutely appealing and magical even to those of us for whom it does not come naturally.
I'm starting to wonder whether you could paint anything that wasn't automatically fetching. Maybe it could be a challenge. My money would be on mice. I hate mice. Hate them. Now, if you could paint a mouse that I found darling, you'd certainly be superhuman.
Thanks everyone ! again ....I appreciate your comments so much! and Diana .... maybe I will try a mouse [ not a big fan of them ] so it will be a challenge
What's up with the 3:00 am? All of my work would have drool on it from falling asleep. Maybe that could be a new medium? Do you think Golden would be interested? Hmmm, maybe not.
I live in Connecticut with one husband and 4 cats. I have work for sale in my Etsy shop and in galleries in the U.S. If you have any questions about a specific piece .... please email me . My work is considered as Contemporary Folk Art or sometimes as outsider art. One of my paintings is in the permanent collection of The Hurn Museum of Contemporary Folk Art in Georgia. Your magnets are coming out great! I don't know about you - but I have had enough of the severe weather this summer.

What about ladybugs? Would they be as big a challenge? In fact, up close they are pretty ugly. Insects really give me the creeps.
