This is a
mixed media
piece. I painted
girl in
acrylics on
masonite
board.
and I cut her out
with my saw.
She is
in an old antique
mirror frame,
so it has depth
and interesting
shadows.
I also used
papers
to give interesting
texture.

I've been busy making bookmarks because I don't have the energy to work on a big painting. Sometimes it's nice to sit on my bed with two cats snoring next to me ....with a pad of paper and a box of colored pencils and pens and just sketch and daydream and see what happens .

I miss you .

I miss your crooked smile and
love blinks.

I really loved you Crabby.
Crabby was a cat who came here almost everyday. Ate here and slept in a house I made for him . I couldn't pet him. I would talk to him and he would listen . He had a hard life . I think he was tired . He was at least 14 years old . He was hit by a car and I know he died instantly. The day after he died .... a painting I had done of him sold . I think it was a message from him . A gift from Crabby..... a love blink.

Little Mona bookmark

Mona Lisa as a little girl ???? I don't know ! After I finished drawing her .... she reminded me of Mona Lisa and WHY am I spending hours on BOOKMARKS ?!!! I should be painting something big , something more involved but I feel like making bookmarks. and even after I made a print of this I went back in and did more hand coloring. So much time spent . If I don't think about the time I'm happy . This is all colored pencil. laminated . with a ribbon. Little Mona on Valentine's Day.
