art doll , wood cutout , Fancy Amelia

SOMETIMES >>>>> sometimes I make something and I really like it . This is from my ' Voice of the Dolls ' series of illustrations and paintings .

This art doll makes me think of my mother ,
because if she were here ..... I just have this feeling she would like this one
so
I named her Amelia after my mom
It's weird though > I have to tell you that my mother had about five different names
she went from Emilja [ Polish ] to Emily to Emilia
back to Amilja
to Mille .... to Mitzi .... to Melu
to MOMMY ..... to MA [ when I was older ]
holy mackeral

anyway > You can see more of Amelia
in my SHOP !

What a wonderful doll, I love Amelia! Sometimes it happens, same person gets to use a bunch of different names or nicknames...

Amelia is fabulous! I like hearing from artists when they especially like one of their own works. We tend, as a group, to be so self-critical.

It's funny, but I recently named a character in a story I've written after my mom. They deserve some recognition after all they put up with when we were kids, don't they?

The picture of Amelia and her duck in shadow is a nice touch to end a fun post!

I agree with the above comments!

Nice to hear that you like your fabulous art.

So sweet to be remembering your Mom, my Mom has been gone so long that she's kinda magical now.

I love the shadow effect, nice touch!
