Hopeless

I can't help it .... my husband keeps asking me > WHY can't you paint normal things !

So it's midnight and I decided to paint a pretty heart wreath .... but before I knew it I was painting green meatballs

Does anyone have a story for this ?
It's not done .... I mean it needs more painting , but it is painted on a board ... so it could be a wall plak
[ plaque ? ]

I was going to write on it ... shut up and eat your meatballs Meathead

oh .... I wish I could paint a vase with pretty flowers

if you have any thoughts > I would love if you would share them with me

lmao! Oh Sandy! As far as I'm concerned there are far to many "normal" paintings out there. I love "non-normal", it's far more interesting. I am loving the painting so far!

love the expression on his face, Sandy! God loves all his creatures, even the ones who aren't "pretty" by other peoples' standards!

LOL! Love the "Shutup and Eat Your Meatballs!" I think it is adorable and I think you should give it to your husband for Valentine's day! Just me offering my 2 cents!

OMG. I am truly LOL at you. I love this! It truly expresses something I feel on a daily basis. And I totally get "why can't you paint normal things". My own sister has asked me a similar question, more in line with, "So why tomato people?"

My thoughts are that the upper white space needs to be written in, but wouldn't it be funny to put "Shut up and eat your meatballs" in an ancient language? How 'bout Phonecian?

There are enough painting of flowers in the world...but nobody ever painted pea-balls! Sounds like something my hippie mom tried to make us eat in the 70's.
You be so funny!

This is very humourous painting. Maybe the reason he has that expression on his face is because he DID eat one of the green meatballs. :)

Sandy you know what comes to mind... a childhood song I use to sing. "On top of spaghetti all covered with cheese... I lost my poor meatball when somebuddy sneezed".... LOL I haven't thought of that song in years. :0)

Does anyone else remember that song?

Yeah, what Theresa said! That's what I was thinking, Then
"Chef BOYardee
The first attempt"
fell outta my brain.
You can do it, Sandy!!! You think odder than any of us.

And another thing, Michael has no clue that we wait each day for your weirdness to reveal itself. I love your art, Sandy and my house has not been the same since "you" moved in.
Throw him a nice weird golf picture.

I love that you are non-normal!
How about "Eat Your Greens!"

It's wonderful, Sandy. I'm so glad you can't do what your husband asks. :)

Remember the phrase "why be normal?" Celebrate your weirdness!!!We all love it. Husbands just don't "get it" Mine thinks I'm strange because I take pictures of dead flowers. Last night I got "the look" because I whipped out my camera at bowling to take a picture of my pickle slice because it had a heart shape on it. He is pretty used to me after 28 years.
You should make a chidren's book.

I only want to say, that when I see your art, I always think, "I love Sandy". Always.

Hmmm, I don't think they're really meatballs. What they are I'm not sure, but it's not food. I also think he's serving them to his sister while trying to look innocent. You know how when you try to look not guilty you look sooo guilty? That's what I think.
I always love making up stories for your paintings Sandy!!
Love this one:)

I understand. My husband wishes I painted Western Art.

I love this Sandy. Your husband should realise that true artistic expression won't be curtailed into painting "normal" things. I think, judging by the expression on his face, he has already tried one of the green meatballs...haha.

My husband wants me to paint realistic sailboats. Not. Gonna. Happen.
The weirder the better. I love you too, Sandy, you are a bright spot in the blog world.

As soon as we try to dictate the outcome, the life goes right out of our work. I think your title for this painting shows your rebellion against "pretty pictures"...it made me laugh out loud..it's perfect! People are always telling me to do a little "production" work, but all I do is waste my precious time when I've tried. It's our curse and our blessing I guess...stay true to yourself..stay away from the green meatballs..they will poison you! ;-) But keep painting them!
