Drawing at 3 a.m.

I just draw .... I don't know why .
It's the only time I know who I am
It's the only time I'm really happy
This ...... I drew at 3 a.m.
I don't know why
don't know who these kids are
I don't know if it's finished even
This is some kind of addiction ....
just to see what comes out of my pen
I don't know if it's good , or mediocre
I just draw

Sandy,
It is great! Love the German Shepherd especially. Lucky children to be owned by such a great dog. 3 a.m. must be "your" time, huh? I am SO glad you are happy doing what makes you happy, aren't you? Accept that gift and ENJOY!!! You'll know at the right time if what you're doing is "good" or what. Blessings!

Oh, it's good alright.

I love that even your most cheerful painting (I think) has some eerie undertones. In my world there is much, much more than meets the surface in your art.

And I love that.

You think it's addicting drawing -- you should be one of your fans. It's addicting to see what will come next.

I love this family. I really love the dog. He is excellent.
You know before January I hadn't painted for soooo long. I had made so many rules for myself I just didn't enjoy it anymore. Then something happened (maybe I turned 40) and I thought "what are these rules for? Who are they for?" And I just started painting/drawing whatever I wanted just because. That is what I did when I was a kid. I drew for hours, just because. Just because I loved it.
I know one thing. My house isn't as clean as it was before January and maybe the food isn't as gourmet but I am a WAY better Mum and wife.

You do great stuff and inspire me to keep doing my stuff!
Thanks!
Maria

Well I can tell you Sandy your drawings are great. Please keep up the good work. I love visiting your blog. I love this one. The fact that it is more neutrally coloured makes it even more interesting.
